After the death of Joshua, the people of Israel inquired of the Lord, “Who shall go up first for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” The Lord said, “Judah shall go up; behold, I have given the land into his hand.” And Judah said to Simeon his brother, “Come up with me into the territory allotted to you.” So Simeon went with him. Then Judah went up and the Lord gave the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand and they defeated 10,000 of them at Bezek (Judges 1:1-5).
Are you feeling lost? Do you feel like you have strayed away from your faith due to some wrongdoings that have committed? Do you want to set your path right and to become closer to God once again? Do you want to learn from the teachings of God and to rebuild yourself in His image once more? If you are looking for someone who can guide and lead you down the right path to God again, Rebuild Fellowship is here to help you.
At Rebuild Fellowship, we work with different churches within the Californian cities as we spread the word and teachings of Christ. By working with multiethnic and multigenerational churches, we aim to bring people together, and together, we shall restore and rebuild ourselves from the sins that we have committed, and we work towards renewing ourselves towards the Image of God in us, exemplified in Christ. We work will all willing participants and partners who wish to join our cause.
This is the prism through which we view the work of Christ in our hearts:
1. Revelation and Repentance (Weariness)
Repentance (Matt 4:17, Mark 6:2) begins with the revelation of a loving God and a broken heart. A wrong-headed life requires a metanoia – [changes in mind that affects new directions and destination – translated repent], that acknowledges own brokenness and God’s blueprint for getting back to the blessing – (Walking with God in the coolness of the day (Gen 3:8)). We are so lost that God has to reveal our “lostness” to us. Repentance leads to restoration of order according to God’s design and plan. This is done in the community of those who are being saved and added to our numbers daily (Acts 2:47). Corporate worship reminds someone that God is at work in others so that we are not discouraged in our walk. Repentance leads to worship.
2. Revelation and Redemption (Worship)
Broken parts must be restored and missing ones must be regenerated. The Gospel points you to God’s destiny for your life and restoration of the kingdom protocols of the Earth for God. Independent of God’s revelation, we cannot see the mess we are in (Nehe 2:17). We have to be restored to our original status as God’s children and rightly called so (1 John 3:1). Unless God points this out, we are comfortable in the mess we are in. You will be called a Rebuilder of Walls (Isaiah 58:12) as indeed Jesus too is called a Rebuilder of the tabernacle and a restorer of ruins (Acts 15:16). The Resources for the restoration awaits those who obey by faith, as God always provides where He leads. Redemption leads to rebuilding.
3. Revelation and Rebuilding (Work)
The Resources for Rebuilding are already available but not yet activated. What is in your hand? The broken walls must be identified and the skills God has given you must be used in your specific vocation. You must identify your weapon and strike. You must activate what is in your hand. (What has God placed in your life, gift or resources?) Rebuilding is the default work of the repentant and the redeemed.
Our Mission
Believing that the intention of God has always been to have multiethnic fellowships of His goodness, our mission at Rebuild Fellowship is to plant intentional multiethnic churches formed of the nations within our communities, and pursue each person not as a salvation project but as friends who bear the Image of God (Tselem Elohim – Gen 1:26-27) and therefore valued beyond their conversion. We will plant as rebuild or in association with other churches who share this mission.
Our Vision
Our vision is an intentionally multiethnic and multigenerational church where each member is accepted as a Christ-follower and Image-of-God bearer.
